The magic of movies inspires Disney's 1,920-room All-Star Movies Resort, one of the popular value resorts at Walt Disney World Resort.
Giant icons from favorite Disney movies set the scene and cameras are rolling -- guests' cameras, that is. Colossal images from "101 Dalmatians," "Toy Story," "Fantasia," "The Mighty Ducks" and "The Love Bug" decorate the resort hotel.
Disney's All-Star Movies Resort joins two other "All-Star" value resorts -- Disney's 1,920-room All-Star Music Resort and 1,920-room All-Star Sports Resort near Disney's Animal Kingdom and Blizzard Beach water park.
The value resort features some big stars -- really big stars. Pongo and Perdita from "101 Dalmatians" and Buzz Lightyear from "Toy Story" tower more than 35 feet tall. Buzz's partner Woody sits 25 feet tall in his super-size cowboy hat. "Herbie" the famous bug is approximately five times his normal size. Giant Sorcerers' hats, spell books, brooms and buckets decorate the "Fantasia" area, and "The Mighty Ducks" section scores with giant hockey sticks, goalie nets and duck-shaped hockey masks.
Movies also inspire the check-in and guest service facilities and a food court with five marquee venues, a gift shop and arcade.
Guests looking for a cinematic swim can "skate" into the hockey rink-themed pool in the Mighty Ducks or join Sorcerer Mickey as he directs a liquid symphony at the Fantasia pool, featuring a kiddie area. An outdoor pool bar offers light food and drink.
Families will enjoy the whimsy of this brightly-colored movieland, along with great rates -- value rates at Disney's All-Star Resorts are $77-$124 per room per night, based on season. Most rooms sleep four. Non-smoking and connecting rooms and accommodations for guests with disabilities also are available.

Where are the All-Star Resorts?
The Resorts are located near the Animal Kingdom park and Blizzard Beach water park. The three Resorts
are next to each other.
What is the difference between the Resorts?
Each Resort has a different theme - sports, music or movies. All-Star Movies Resort is the newest of the
three.
Are the rooms in the main building?
No, the rooms are in ten separate buildings at each Resort.
What is in the main building?
The main buildings at each Resort house Guest Services, Front Desk, Food Court, Shop, and Games Arcade. They are - All-Star Sports - Stadium Hall

What will I find in my guest room?
All Guest Rooms feature two double beds or one king-sized bed, in-room wall safe, table and chairs, dresser,
TV, clock radio, vanity area with sink, and a separate bathroom. Irons, ironing boards and hairdryers are available from housekeeping upon request. Refrigerators are available for $10 per night.

Where are the best room locations?
If you want to be close to the food court, shops, and bus stop, these buildings are nearest the main hall -
All-Star Sports - Surf's Up. All-Star Music - Calypso. All-Star Movies - 101 Dalmatians, Fantasia, and Toy Story. Although they are close to everything, they may therefore be noisier. Request a second or third floor room, which should be quieter. Rooms farthest away from the main halls, and therefore quieter are - All-Star Sports
- Hoops Hotel & Home Run Hotel. All-Star Music - Country Fair. All-Star Movies - The Love Bug. Some rooms come with deluxe views of pools and themed courtyards, whilst others have views of the parking lots.
What are 'preferred' rooms?
There are two types of room offered - standard or preferred. Preferred rooms are in the buildings nearest
to the main hall - Surf's Up, Fantasia and Calypso. The preferred rooms cost $10 extra per night.
Which rooms are smoking?
The following buildings house the smoking-optional rooms- All-Star Sports - Hoops Hotel building #3, Surf's
Up! building #1, and Home Run Hotel building #9. All-Star Music - Calypso building #1, Jazz Inn building #9,
and Rock Inn building #3. All-Star Movies - Mighty Ducks building #3, and Fantasia building #8.
Are Disney soaps and shampoos provided in each room?
No, they are no longer provided in individual bottles like at the other Disney Resorts. Instead, shampoo
and shower gel are in a wall-mounted dispenser.
What happens at check-in?
You'll receive your room key (plastic card), a small 'guidebook', park maps, and a copy of 'Legend', the
resort's newsletter. You'll also have the option of leaving credit card details so that you can charge
anything you purchase during your stay to your room card.
Are there childcare facilities?
No, there are no onsite childcare facilities. Kinder care offers in-room babysitting. Reservations should be
made 24 hours in advance. Call 407-827-5444.
Is there a games arcade?
Yes, there is an arcade at each resort - Note-able Games, Reel Fun, and Game Point Arcades. They are
located in the main lobby areas across from the food courts.
Where can I find Disney transportation?
The bus stop is located on the East side of the main building. There are direct buses to Magic Kingdom,
Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios, Animal Kingdom and Blizzard Beach. Another bus goes to Typhoon Lagoon,
and Downtown Disney.
Where are the nearest ATM locations?
ATMs can be found in the Resort lobby areas. Additional ATMs are located at each theme park, the
Downtown Disney Area, as well as all Resorts (lobby area).
Where can I purchase stamps and where is the mailbox?
Stamps may be purchased in Sport Goofy, Maestro Mickey's or Donald's Double Feature. Mailboxes are
located near the telephones in each Resort lobby.
Where can I make dining priority seating arrangements or purchase tickets?
Priority seating for most Walt Disney World restaurants can be made by touching the WDW DINE button on
your in-room phone or by visiting Guest Services. Theme Park tickets are available at either the front desk
or Guest Services.
Can I rent boats?
No, there is no boat hire or marina at the All-Star Resorts.
Is there a swimming pool?
There are pools at each resort. All-Star Sports - Surf Board Bay Pool and the kiddie pool are located behind Stadium Hall. Grand Slam Pool is located in the infield of Home Run Hotel. All-Star Music - Calypso Pool and
the kiddie pool are located behind Melody Hall. Grand Piano Pool is located between Rock Inn, Country Fair
and Broadway. All-Star Movies - Fantasia Pool and the kiddie pool are located behind Cinema Hall. Duck
Pond Pool is located in Mighty Ducks.
What time is the pool open?
The pools are open from 8:00am to 12:00 midnight and are guarded from 10:00am to 10:00pm. Hours are subject to seasonal changes.
Are towels available by the pool?
No, you need to take them from your room.
Are there any shops at the Resort?
Yes, the shops are located just off the lobby areas in each Resort. Sport Goofy at All-Star Sports; Maestro Mickey's at All-Star Music; and Donald's Double Feature at All-Star Movies. They feature a selection of Character merchandise, men's, women's, and children's themed apparel, swim accessories, sundries, snacks
and beverages.
Where can I buy groceries?
A limited selection of snacks and beverages are available in the Resort shops and food courts.
Where can I dine at the Resort?
Each Resort has a food court offering a selection of meals and snacks. All-Star Sports - End Zone Food

Is room service available?

Where do I get...?
Extra pillows, & blankets, bed rails, baby cribs, handicap aids, extra hangers, towels, refrigerators, coffeemakers, or any other sundry items are available from Housekeeping.
Where do I find the ice machines?
Ice and vending machines are located on each floor of every building.
Is there a guest laundry?
Coin operated washers and dryers are located in each pool area. For valet service, laundry bags are
available at luggage. Same day service is available if laundry is dropped off at Luggage Service by 8:30am. Service available 7 days a week.
Is luggage assistance available?
If you need assistance with your luggage, the luggage service continually delivers luggage to multiple
rooms based on availability, rather than individual service. Upon check-in, please leave your baggage with
the Luggage assistance staff in front of the Resort. Take any items you would like to keep with you and
they will be delivered as scheduled. To make arrangements for your departure, contact the Luggage service
the night prior to departure to schedule your pick-up.
If I use the package delivery service in the parks, where do I pick them up?
If you shop at any merchandise location at the Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, or the Downtown Disney area, and choose to have your packages delivered
back to your resort, they can be picked up the following day after 12:00 noon at the Resort shop.
Does the Resort have wheelchairs available for guest use?
Yes, a limited number of wheelchairs are available at Guest Services. There is no charge, but a credit card guarantee may be required. A limited number or wheelchairs and motorized wheelchairs are available to rent
at the theme parks.

- Take some time to explore the Resorts to see the theming and details.
- The over-sized icons make great photo opportunities.
- Check-in early if possible. Your room may not be ready, but you'll avoid the long queues between 3-4pm.
- Buy a refillable mug from the food court.
- Luggage assistance is very slow at the All-Stars. So carry your own luggage, schedule the day before
leaving or be prepared for a long wait.
- Being value Resorts, Disney toiletries aren't provided like at the other Resorts, apart from soap and
shampoo in a dispenser on the wall.
- Also, unlike other Resorts, towels aren't provided at the pools, so take them with you from your room.
- Want to get to another Resort? Hop onto the Animal Kingdom bus and transfer to the other Resort bus there.
- If you're feeling energetic, use the jogging path which links All-Star Sports Resort to Coronado Springs.
- Visit the other All-Star Resorts.
- If you want to eat in a sit-down restaurant, Coronado Springs and the Animal Kingdom park are nearby.
